From Phil Plait at Bad Astronomy:
I usually don’t participate in these things, but I’ve been on an anti-creationism/ID tear lately, and the folks at National Center for Science Education (NCSE) are friends of mine, and really, maybe this’ll help someone who Googles ID to get the real scoop: A bunch of skeptical blogs are Google bombing the phrase Intelligent Design, so that people who type those two words in Google are redirected to the NCSE web page about it. They’re also encouraging others to do it, so what the heck. If you have a blog, or a website, give it a shot. This might prove to be fun.
(For the uninitiated: Google counts the popularity of linked pages in searches for phrases. Google bombing involves a campaign to link a phrase to a particular website. For an example of the results of a successful Google bombing campaign, check this out.)

Hee hee. Thanks for the plug! I’m not sure the bombing has helped; the NCSE link is still 7 on Google’s results page. We’ll see what happens after the next Google database rebuild.
we’re on it! do trackbacks count in google?
Oh, that was terrific! Bombing and hurting no one!
I added it to my blogroll so that it stays visible to visitors for the long term. Thanks for the tip.
It’s on my side bar — but I have to admit it makes me feel a little dirty (and not in a good way!) having the words ‘intelligent design’ on my site.
Bombs away!
OK, I’m in. It’s on my blogroll (a Typelist).
Me too, me too! Consider yourself Blogwhored! A Google Bomb is much nicer than a Smart Bomb, no? :)
