May 29 will be the fourth anniversary of Creek Running North’s debut.
I am open to suggestions of ways to celebrate this event.

Don’t post.
Seriously. Go for a hike and take some beautiful pictures, perhaps showing an old haunt at a new season.
On the first day of the fifth year, post about it (or not, as you choose).
Hey, we’re a full six months older and I actually forgot our anniversary this year. Then again, I completely forgot Eric and my 11th wedding anniversary (March 29th) until, well, May 1st. (We eloped anyway, so who cares, neh?)
Come out and spend it with us! I figure we’ll be somewhere in Utah by that point. But I’m sure we can find a decent strand of Joshua trees for you (did you know there are acres and acres of them on 93 about 10/15 miles before Caliente?) Make sure you bring Becky. And Thistle. Indy loves bunnies as much as he loves cats (which, honestly, is a lot…and not as chew toys…Really!)
Morning:
Sleep late. Long shower. Cheese omelet, rye toast, orange juice. Play Aretha Franklin’s “Who’s Zoomin’ Who? at middlin’ high volume and dance around the kitchen unselfconsciously.
Midday:
Masses of sushi. Small amounts of single malt scotch. An afternoon nap. Watch Woody Allen’s “Radio Days with a friend. Walk on cool grass with bare feet, then sit in the shade and read anything by Bill Bryson for an hour or so.
Late Afternoon:
Eat melted brie with rounds of French bread. An hourlong professional massage.
Evening:
El Pollo Loco chicken takeout. Hot tub in the nude. Liberal amounts of Pyramid Apricot Ale. View the Horsehead Nebula in Orion through a telescope.
Hank, I’m all with ya except for the Woody Allen. Am I the only Progressive in the world who just does not appreciate Woody Allen? (and it has nothing to do with the adopted daughter thang - I disliked him long before that episode…)
Well, every anniversary has its proper and traditional gift, no? Let’s see…the fourth. I think that’s the Play-Doh anniversary? no, that’s not right…Grilled Cheese? um…no…Hydraulic Floor Jack? nah…shit…I forget.
What?? You madman! Have you SEEN “Radio Days”?
Chris, I’m eating breakfast as I write this. I offer this toast (holds up sllice of toasted 9-grain bread) to four GOOD years of Creek Running North.
You’re one of my People.
I can’t abide Woody Allen either.
There. I said it.
Here’s a fourth anniversary present, a la CCP.
cookout and general hanging out? potluck?
A nation-wide road trip!
