On Monday, ExxonMobil is expected to announce a record-breaking profit of roughly $32 billion for 2005. And the wonderful Austin Lounge Lizards have something to say about that.

   All the efforts they have been making to use their excess profits to subsidize lower gasoline prices in the wake of oil being at near all-time highs (over $70 for a bit yesterday) and they still make $32 billion???  WTF?? And i am confident that Chevron/Texaco and Conoco/Phillips will also show their highest ever gains.

   I have a blog about climate change and it’s quite clear that ExxonMobil are not just any old oil company. Apart from there wealth, they are not simply inactive on climate change which could be described as neglagent they activley support groups muddying the water around the science, this may get them sued in the future, lets hope so. (precedents where set in the tabacco cases i.e denial of health impacts when proven)

   Hey, Bobby!

   I was a skinny teenaged kid with long, dirty-blond hair who hung out in the Cold Spring Warehouse playing guitar with Elissa Feit, and for a time lived on the West Side of Buffalo with Brian Webster and Bill Stack.

    

   I’m not surprised you don’t remember me: I was rather unsure of myself in those days and was more than occasionally inconspicuous as a result.

   I just want to say that I enjoyed yr. version of those daze.  If somewhat mythologized by the machinations of memory.

   Also Joe the O is still in Buffalo and is a practicing lawyer.
