skippy, it’s because they care less for the niceties and social decorum than do, say, kangaroos.

revealed:  the secret cuteness streak of chris clarke.

rabbits will seriously eat anything.  my sister once told her teacher she could not turn in her homework because the rabbit ate it, which was true.  [she neglected to mention her role in poking the paper into the cage.]  we’ve known bunnies to chew telephone cords, book bindings, a wooden chair, and linoleum.  these items are not recommended by rabbit dieticians.

My theory on LOL-critters is that they can’t hit the keyboard well; their paws are too big for the keys.

    Rana, good theory!

I assumed it was because we have denied them an equal education, so they’ve been forced to learn everything from TV advertising, just like Daryl Hannah in SPLASH.

You did NOT just compare my rabbit to Daryl Hannah.

LOLcats (and -bunnies) spell our words a whole lot better than we spell theirs.  “Meow,” indeed.

    “Nroar” you mean?

    Or “Mao”?

    “mew” even?

ETA (psych, this is just a regular addendum): Linoleum is delicious. as are wooden chairs.

For comparison: Cathode ray monitors are less delicious, more explodey, which is why I do not eat at that restaurant these days.

I believe that the LOL language is derived from phone text messages.

we are all doomed if the rabbits learn text messaging.
