I get letters, #2

Dear Editor,

So, as I see it the key issue surrounding the Terri Schiavo controversy is defining what constitutes a “vegetative state.” Apparently someone in such a state is non-responsive to questions, has no higher brain functioning, and, although the subject can swallow, blink and may from time to time emit sounds, it’s considered by the medical profession to be “merely an imitation of consciousness.”

My question then, is this: Where’s George W. Bush’s feeding tube?

We may never know for sure, but there’s speculation that it was under his jacket at the debate.

Are we sure he can swallow? What about the pretzel?

    Hey tost,

‘under his jacket at the debate’. Damn that’s sharp.  I always figured it might be a ‘helping brain’, like the one that was rumored to be the case with large dinosaurs, like the Tyranosaurus Rex, located somewhere near the hip.  Go figure…
