Knock me over with a feather

By on 2006 03 07 at 9:49:00 am

It looks as though I actually have a shot at making the finals in the “Best Writing” Koufax. It has been pointed out to me, by someone who is familiar with my career, that this would not be a bad thing for someone hoping to support himself by writing. So I’m actually going to ask. If you haven’t yet voted, please consider voting for me for the “Best Writing” Koufax award by leaving a comment on this post at Wampum.

Although — full disclosure here — I am, apparently, a misogynist. Who knew that pointing out the commonalities between abuse of animals and torture of people was a misogynistic act? Do you think this person realizes she’s a misogynist? I’ve got a lot of nerve asking you to vote for me. But I’m doing so anyway.

If you add two cups of poor reading comprehension and a dash of persecution complex to the recipe, I am confident you will see that the rape of a 14 year old by some unnamed leftist leader has everything to do with Chris.

I didn’t know Chris was left handed, like Koufax.  Oh, that isn’t to what Big Left refers?  Well maybe the pony was once 14 years old.  Oh that isn’t what it was about either.  Do Newfies have to hold the clubs in their left hands?  No, not that.  The raping of the 14 year old was commited by a left handed large person wearing a t-shirt with the picture of a grey seal pup.  Yes that must be it, plus the name Chris must be involved in it somewhere.

Twisty’s blog is outstanding. Don’t blame her. This Pony person is just a commenter and has issues of her own, apparently, that provoke her (entirely unlike most of the rest of the Internet, of course:) to make irrational accusations and unsupported arguments.

Xopher, Twisty is definitely a wacko. But she’s my kind of wacko: a spirited, hilariously articulate firebrand with a keen sense of humor about her own limitations and the passion to keep fighting despite them.

If you’d like to learn more about how much I love Twisty, ask your librarian for this post.

i’m not a blogger.  there are a few blogs i visit, because i like the content and tone.  this is one.

pony seems like the job applicant who comes in having done no research, who assumes that taking a strong and condemning view on some point shows competence.  [but if she’d checked a little, she’d know her stated position flames others without basis.]  she doesn’t want to listen, lacks social skills and minimal research skills, and may be humor-impaired. these are fixable problems for her, but not very endearing.

Xopher gets the Clarkefax award for “Most gracious recipient of a pile-on.”

I may be a wacko, but at least I don’t go around giving baby seals clitorectomies with clubs. Knock it off with that shit already, Chris!

I had to quick check the background color here just to be sure I hadn’t fumbled the mouse and landed over at You Knit What??

Hey, Craig, I want one! Joe has a stuffed yeti and I’m feeling all runner-up.

    Dang, what a critter.

Ron notes in email that in making the above comment, she meant to reply to the furcrab story here. But I like it where it is.

Just how many runners are you feeling up, Ron?

/sigh/ Only the slow ones, lately. Damn this getting old crap anyway.

Um, I’m not sure I want to discuss furcrabs in that context. I try to keep it all safe ‘n’ sanitary.
