Because Ilyka just can’t be allowed to post this with impunity.
Update:
Turns out I was mistaken. Ilyka posted the original video because she liked it. But true to her ever-conciliatory self, she offered up another video in an attempt to reach understanding across the generational divide.
And as she went to all the trouble to find a video she felt I could relate to as an older person, what can I do but return the favor? Oh lord, Kumbaya.

Scary. Because I remember seeing that first-run. And I also remember that my mother sang along.
=v= While I’m no fan of John Denver’s singing, performing, fashion sense, etc., I have to give him props as a songwriter. At the risk of cementing my reputation as a hopeless romantic sucker (emphasis on “hopeless”) (not to mention “sucker”), I think “Annie’s Song” is resonantly beautiful. Despite its overexposure, it is sincerely heartbreaking.
The Spanish lyrics are awful, though. Sorry if I sound like Emperor Joseph II, there are simply too many syllables, that’s all.
“something smells rotten in the state of YouTube”. Whaddaya mean? I found this really nice song about birds;

Undo! UNDO!!!!
My only regret about choosing a career that does not result in celebrity status is this: I will never get to be on Sesame Street. Being on the Street is like the epitome, the pinnacle, the very best celebrity perk EVER.
If you ask me, being on Sesame Street is the ONLY cool thing IntheSink ever did.

Dude, that was a historical document. Anyway, it’s Clinton’s fault. Giving heterosexuality a bad name.
