My apologies to the umpteen people who left comments today only to find them swept into the spam bin. I’ve approved them, a little later than I would have liked.
I have a good excuse: I’m sick. This was supposed to be the day I went into work to take care of a bunch of stuff that had piled up in my absence, but last night I went running after writing that Humboldt post — which seems a bit disjointed to me as I read it now — came back, ate some food and fell asleep, or tried to. A weird feeling of nausea followed by cramps and more nausea and well let’s stop there except to say I didn’t go in to work. Instead, Zeke and I slept all day. In fact, this might be the first day in years I’ve slept more than Zeke.
I’ll be back when my temperature drops down into the double digits. Until then, if you leave a comment and it gets swallowed by akismet, my apologies. It’ll be approved as soon as I rouse myself.

Get well soon….
Get well soon! Sleep is a wonderful thing, especially when you’re sick.
I know all too well the feeling of getting sick after a run. Hope you feel better soon.
hope you are feeling better today. glad zeke has been caring for you, in the way only he can.
I’m glad you got to spend a day with Zeke, but what a way to go about it! Feel better soon!
well let’s stop there except to say I didn’t go in to work
Oh no, please go on. More in the “running” vein, I’m sure.
I know all too well the feeling of getting sick after a run.
For any non-runners out there; the run probably exposed an existing condition. Anyone who says otherwise is a heretic!
I’m so sorry you’re sick. Glad you’ve got Zeke—doggies are the best nurses. Hope you feel better soon.
Violet’s still speaking to me, eh? She must not have read the new blogroll yet.

I’m no heretic—at least not about running. When I talked about getting sick after a run that was what I meant.
Charles, I assumed that to be the case. But some people may have read this as another excuse not to run, when you and I know it is the most spiritually pure activity a person can partake of!
