This photo of a chicken head and a shrimp chip has nothing to do with Scott Eric Kaufman.
Update: the polls are open. Sadly, it looks at press time as though Scott is trailing behind CRN’s solid lead. This cannot stand. Go vote! For Scott, I mean. You can vote once a day, so an admonition to vote early and often is actually no joke. The allowability of multiple votes may mean that OTHER aspects of these awards are a joke. But not the admonition.
Looks like this joint has made it to the finals of the 2007 Weblog Awards. CRN is one of a handful of finalists in the category “Best of The Top 2501-3500 Blogs,” which sounds a little like a prize given for attendance at the awards ceremony for the big blogs.
They’re putting the polls up as we speak linked here. The 2501-3500 category poll should be running soon, looks like.
So I urge you to go over there and vote for my fellow Top 2501-3500 Blogger Scott Eric Kaufman’s Acephalous, because for some reason utterly unfathomable to me it looks as if he really wants to win. And you know me. I’m all about nurturing, encouraging, nay, mentoring the talented members of the younger generation.

Well-deserved recognition, Chris - congrats.
“TTLB Ecosystem Based Categories”? Good grief.
Good luck to you.
Mmmmm, yummy shrimp chips and chicken head. Cooked with the feathers on, too!
Hey, thanks, Jack. Back atcha.
Is it too early to concede?
Scott, be patient. We haven’t even heard from the Mountain States yet.
Yes, I may have a commanding lead at this point. But there’s still time for ALL of us to lose to the Freepers.
I’ll cede my votes to you, if it comes to it.
I’m still trying to figure out what the deal with that chicken head is.
