Because how often does someone in the blog world (Yes, skippy coined a different synonymous phrase!) say something like this?
this is something diametrically opposed to what we had thought to be true. we are now forced to re-think where we stand

well, it’s true.
arlen has pointed out that in google ranking, bineg on a short blog roll has way more value than being on a long blogroll.
this makes part of my argument about blogrolls not as valid. that means i will have to step back and re-evaluate part of what i’ve been saying.
i still maintain that there was bad manners involved in blogroll amnesty day, especially in light of the years of support i and other blogs gave to the big box blogs that dumped us unceremoniously from their rolls.
i also still maintain that purging rolls hurt the proliferation of liberal links on any given google search.
but i now see that being on a very long roll on an ‘a’ list blog doesn’t get you as far as being on a very short roll on the same blog.
i’m not a fundie, i’m always more interested in what is true than what is emotionally invested in.
thanks for the compliment, chris.
