Awash in the blood of the lamb
Criticisms of Mel Gibson's Jesus slasher porn movie are a dime a dozen on the Web these days. Christopher Rieder has the best I've seen so far.

That film scares me, on many levels. I have no intention of seeing it; I try to avoid movies that will put horrific images in my head.
(Among the things that disturb me about it: I have this persistent suspicion that, when this film comes to DVD, fundamentalist groups are going to end up showing it to children, as a way of terrorizing them into staying on the path.)
I cannot understand what Gibson was thinking, and I think I'm glad of that.
