The Bush administration is fending off rumors that it plans to establish a "death squad" strategy in Iraq, based in part on our award-winning experience with same in El Salvador.

It's truly as though the eighties never ended. Of course, I've suspected that to be the case for a while now. But goddamn... this is as depressing as it is infuriating.
