Dad would be surprised to hear that Y2K was never a real problem seeing as he spent something like a year fixing code to prepare for it.

The polluting and exploitation of our environment is such a shortsighted and serious blunder, but as long as jerks like M. Crichton make light of it, we've got a long-term battle on our hands.
