Still waiting for the phone call
I think I'll go out and clean his cage.
4:35 PM: Got the phone call. Waiting for another one now. Harley's staying overnight. The vets have been slammed all day, and the vet wanted to be able to work on Harley in an unhurried fashion. She'll call again tonight after the surgery.
I asked how today's jaw X-rays looked, and her answer, verbatim:
"Well, not great. But not, you know, incompatible with life."
So there we have it. Unless something goes wrong in surgery - always a possibility - its the best news we could have hoped for.
7:43: Still waiting.
8:28: Just got the call. He had his teeth ground down, woke up, and started cramming hay into his face. He goes back for another trim in a month.
