Slow to load

Site Meter is down, and it's hanging the load of this site. But you can still read all the posts right away. And if you want to see the blogroll, just hit "stop loading" after a minute.

I'm really starting to hate all these third party things that slow down load times, technorati and flickr and such. I want, at least, for it to be my fault when my site is down. I have a little control over MY screwups.

Updated: I put the sitemeter script at the end of the page, which places it in the left column below the blogroll. This way, everything before the script loads right away, and you don't have to hit "stop" to see the pretty pictures. Still: grr. I'd spike the whole thing, but I actually paid for a premium account. I wonder if they'd give me my money back.

I think it's slowing everyone today.

Did you see yourself as a womanizer? See, I never noticed that.

I think perhaps you're retrospectively applying standards that weren't relevant to the time and place.

Nice to see you. That's what you get for mentioning Ben and Andy on the same page.

Well, I guess not enough of a womanizer to have needed the "long red hair", "Boulder and Buffalo" to have remembered who you were.
