Kat
In the now-empty space that used to be filled with calm companionship and occasional passion, I am rewriting my life. It has not been very long, but I have little interest in, nor energy for, languishing. I have passed my doubts, if not my regrets; it is not moving on, per se. Just moving.
If I were female, and living in Prescott instead of Pinole, and far less verbose than I am, I'd like to think my blog would be this beautiful.
Her words are spare as the oaks of Mingus Mountain.

Hey, Chris!
Have you gotten more crochety with old age? Or is that just your blog persona? Jym Dyer, who I know through the Whistlepig list (ask him) mentioned your book and I thought, dang, that's got to be the same Chris Clarke I knew back in the day at Merritt College Ornamental Hort. Would love to catch up with you!
I'm deeply flattered, Chris. Thanks.
